Comfort for whatever you may be going through
2 Corinthians 1:3–7
3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
It’s a blessing to know that God stands by our side as we go through troubles
He doesn’t necessarily make those troubles go away, but he will comfort you as you go through them
However; as we see here in this passage, that comfort is not just for our benefit
It’s not just a promise from God that he will comfort us through our troubles
- It is
- He does
- That is a great blessing
But there is more to it than that:
We receive comfort so that we can use our past and/or current circumstances as tools to reach other people.
That is why the Lord allows us to go through things sometimes
That we might draw closer to HIM
So that those experiences can enable you to comfort someone else
God prepares us for what He has prepared for us.

Sometimes we go through these things, just simply for no other reason than so that we can be a comfort to somebody
Be Ready when someone is praying for comfort, you just may be up to bat
