The Four C’s Brought to you by the Holy Spirit
Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.
Isaiah 48:16
The Trinity
In this verse you have the Trinity described
There am I = the one that has not spoken in secret
see Isaiah 48:12 – The first and the last = The Son (Revelation 1:17-18)
The LORD GOD = the Father
His Spirit = The Holy Spirit
Other scriptural evidences of the Trinity
The Bible teaches that there is only one God
The Bible also teaches that there are three distinct Persons in the Godhead
The Father is God
The Son is God
The Holy Spirit is God
The Bible points to the existence of the Trinity
In personal pronouns
In the Baptismal Formula
In the proclamation by the seraphims (Holy, Holy, Holy)
In the three Witnesses
The functional difference between the three Persons
In the administration and activity of the Godhead, the Father is first, the Son is second, and the Spirit is third. The Father is the source, the Son is the channel, and the Spirit is the active agent in the Godhead. This order is seen in 1 Corinthians 8:6 and Ephesians 2:181

The Four C’s of the Holy Spirit
1. The Holy Spirit Convicts
The Holy Spirit convinces of sin and of the reality of forgiveness through Jesus Christ
Ways the Holy Spirit brings conviction
Through Preaching
Through the word of God
Why the Holy Spirit Convicts
He declares our guilt of sin
He declares the consequences of that guilt
He declares the way out of that guilt
2. The Holy Spirit Converts
Conversion is turning to God
Conversion is turning away from unbelief to faith
Conversion results in a transformed life
3. The Holy Spirit Consecrates
The work of the Holy Spirit in enabling believers to lead holy lives, dedicated to the service of God and conformed to his likeness.
Sanctification is a work of the Holy Spirit
Sanctification is a necessary part of being a Christian
Sanctification makes believers more like Jesus Christ
4. The Holy Spirit Comforts
We think comfort is to be comfortable (recliner)
COMFORT, v.t.
1. To strengthen; to invigorate; to cheer or enliven.
How to apply these 4 C’s to your life
