Psalm 57:1-11

God has a purpose not just for the world and for people in general, but he has a specific purpose for your life. The Lord has a specific purpose for each individual.

Knowing and understanding that there is a purpose for what you are going through or have experiecnced, will help you to see those things from a different perspective.

That is what helped King David, and is what he was expressing in

this psalm. David wrote this song while hiding in a cave from King Saul, who was trying to kill him because David had been anointed future king of Israel, and Saul was jealous of David. So Saul chased David all across the land in an attempt

to kill him. In short, everything has gone wrong for David, but he did not lose hope, because he trusted the Lord and he trusted that there was a purpose for what he was experiencing as he hid in a cave from Saul.

I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
